Mobile Clinic
Delivering essential healthcare and life-saving disaster response to underserved communities in Malawi, expanding across Africa.
Healthcare That Goes Where People Are
Cloud of Hope's Mobile Clinic program was established in 2012 with a clear mandate: respond to emergencies and provide essential healthcare in the inaccessible areas of Malawi. While hospitals serve those who can reach them, mobile clinics reach those who cannot.
For communities near Dzaleka Refugee Camp, rural villages in Dowa District, and disaster-affected regions across the country, the mobile clinic is often the only access to medical consultation, vaccinations, maternal care, and health education.
As the frequency and severity of climate-related disasters increases across Africa, Cloud of Hope is extending its operations beyond Malawi, focused on disaster-prone regions across the continent.

Cyclone Freddy, 2023
In 2023, Cyclone Freddy made history as one of the most destructive cyclones ever recorded, displacing over 1.5 million people across Malawi, Mozambique, Zimbabwe and Madagascar. In Malawi alone, over 500 people died, 14 districts were declared disaster areas, and more than 500,000 people were internally displaced.
Cloud of Hope partnered with Team Rubicon from the United States to deploy healthcare and rescue services to the worst-affected communities. Through this collaboration, thousands of people received life-saving medical care and emergency support.
It was a defining proof point: a locally-rooted organization with deep community relationships can mobilize rapidly and effectively when international partners need a trusted, capable team on the ground.
