Our Primary Impact Zone

Chuzu Village, Dowa District

Cloud of Hope has identified Chuzu Village in the Dzaleka area of Dowa District as its primary transformation campus. The village is located near Dzaleka Refugee Camp, the site of the ministry's very first outreach, creating a deep, long-term relationship with the community.

Through four integrated pillars: evangelism and discipleship, mobile clinic services, the Salt Women Empowerment Initiative, and youth development, Cloud of Hope is demonstrating what holistic community transformation looks like in practice.

Proven in the Field

Cyclone Freddy Response, 2023

In 2023, when Cyclone Freddy devastated southern Malawi, displacing over 1.5 million people and leaving a State of Disaster in 14 districts, Cloud of Hope mobilized alongside Team Rubicon from the United States to deliver healthcare and rescue services to affected communities.

Through this partnership, thousands of people received life-saving medical care and emergency support. It was a defining moment: proof that a Malawi-based organization with deep community relationships can be a first responder, not just a last resort.
